Take out DJ (Double J Stent Removal)
In this procedure, a temporary tube that has been placed to maintain the flow of urine between the kidney and bladder is removed endoscopically. The procedure requires no incisions and is usually performed on an outpatient basis. This procedure is performed for patients after surgery for kidney stones or ureteral stenosis.
Postoperative Care:
Patients should drink plenty of water and maintain good personal hygiene. Mild burning or discomfort during urination may persist for 1–2 days.
Outcome:
Urination returns to normal immediately, and discomfort caused by the stent disappears. Most patients resume regular activities the same day.
